AAPI BOARD OF TRUSTEES - MEDICAL PROJECT GRANT
FOR APPLICANTS

This award will be granted to a female, pre-med/medical student/resident/fellow who requires financial support for educational resources. The applicant for this award needs to submit their CV and a one-page summary stating their financial request and how the funds will be used. Submissions should be sent to aapibotmpg@2023.aapiusa.org by June 15th, 2022.

This award was generously donated by Dr. Shobha Gupta, Past AAPI BOT in honor of her husband, the late Dr. Raj Gupta, Past AAPI BOT Chair. Residing in Florida, both physicians have always been strong supporters of female education and empowerment.

This award will be granted to a medical student, resident or fellow who needs financial support for a community service project in India. The Bridgewater Asset group is a successful conglomerate based in New Jersey. The group specializes in real estate and other diversified investment projects. The group strongly believes in giving back to the community and involved in many philanthropist activities.

This award will be granted to any US medical student/resident/fellow in an accredited US program who is in need for financial support for a community service project in the US. The applicant for this award needs to submit their CV, one page summary stating their financial request and explaining how the funds will be used. Submissions need to be emailed to aapibotmpg@2023.aapiusa.org by June 15th, 2022.

This award was generously donated by the 9 BOT members who founded the MPG Grants including Dr. Punjabi, Dr. Nigam, Dr. Vasavada, Dr. Lolabattu, Dr. Gupta, Dr. Ranga, Dr. Aggarwal, Dr. Paluvoi and Dr. Edara.

This award will be granted to a medical student, resident or fellow who wins the First Place in the Poster Presentation Program being held at the Annual Convention during the BOT Luncheon. The Award is given to encourage increased participation by young physicians in research activities as a Memorial tribute to Dr Ajay Lodha, a veteran leader of AAPI (President, 2016-2017) and a very passionate supporter of
research activities.

The Grant was established on the request of Dr. Smita Lodha & Family by AAPI-QLI Executive Committee and implemented by Dr. Vinni Jayam (President) and Dr. Jagdish Gupta (Chair of BOT) of AAPI-QLI, 2022
